Lost Your CPR Card?

If you lost your American Heart Association CPR card, BLS card, ACLS card, or PALS card, don’t panic. In many cases, your card may be available online as an AHA eCard, which you can view, save, print, or send to your employer.

The American Heart Association states that duplicate or replacement cards must be requested through the AHA Training Center that issued your original card. A Training Center may also charge a fee to reissue a card.

How to Find Your AHA CPR Card Online

If your certification was issued as an eCard, you may be able to look it up through the AHA eCard system.

Try searching with:

Your first and last name

The email address used for your class

A work email or personal email

Alternate spellings or nicknames

The AHA also recommends checking your spam or junk folder for an email from eCards@heart.org if you recently completed a course. Once claimed, your eCard can be saved or printed.

Need a Replacement CPR Card?

If you cannot find your CPR card online, contact the training company, instructor, or AHA Training Center where you took the class. They are the ones responsible for helping issue a duplicate or replacement card.

We can only help replace or resend cards for students who completed their CPR, BLS, ACLS, or PALS training through our office.

Important: You May Not Need to Retake the Class

If your American Heart Association card is still valid and can be found in the eCard system, you usually do not need to retake the class just because you lost your card.

AHA course completion cards are generally valid for two years through the end of the month in which the card was issued.

Start by searching for your AHA eCard online. If you cannot find it, contact the Training Center that issued your original card.

Can the American Heart Association replace my lost CPR card directly?

According to the AHA, replacement card requests must go through the Training Center that issued the original card.

What if I don’t remember where I took my CPR class?

Try searching your email for “eCards@heart.org,” “CPR,” “BLS,” “American Heart Association,” or the name of the training company.

Do I have to retake CPR if I lost my card?

Not always. If your card is still valid and can be found or reissued, you may not need to retake the class.

 If a card is lost, destroyed or otherwise becomes unusable. All requests for duplicate or replacement cards must be submitted directly to the Training Center that issued the original card. Please note that a Training Center may charge a fee for reissuing a card.
